Ms. Blakeli - 9 months

Ms. Blakeli is the daughter of some very good friends of ours, and we have been lucky enough to watch her grow since she was a day old! These photos were taken during her 9 month photo session at the Butterfly House. Even though it was technically "summer" when we took these, the weather was overcast, rainy, and just downright nasty cold. Inside with the butterflies, the temperature was a balmy 80+ degrees.

During our visit at the Butterfly House, Ms. Blakeli looks liked a professional model, and we got tons of great photos of her. Look at that face! Her cheeks scream to be pinched!

Mika brought along an adorable flower hoping to attract some butterflies to Blakeli. Athough it didn't attact many butterflies, it made for adorable photos.

This is one of my all time favorite photos ever, and definitely my favorite of the shoot! I love how Blakeli looks like she is wearing wings!

This was my 2nd favorite shot of the shoot. Blakeli is such an angelic little thing!!! Again, LOOK AT THAT FACE!

Baby "P"

This was our last shoot of the week-end. Matt and I loved working with this family, and both agreed that Baby "P" was similar to our daughter when she was wee. We don't know if it was his facial expressions or personality, or what, but we just couldn't get enough of this little guy!

Look at his face! Is he not totally precious? And, I think we captured a SMILE!

And look at his room. I love the personality of his room, the little touches that make it so special and personal for Baby "P". He is one lucky little dude!

We had to get one of Baby "P" on his dresser. . .it was a must have shot. His facial expression in this photo cracks me up! I think he was getting annoyed of the people with the "big EYES" making him switch positions, pose, and move from room to room. . .

This was my favorite shot of the entire shoot. I love moments that look unstructured and real. I love the look a mother gives her child - the look of unconditional love.

Thanks to Andrea and Dave for inviting us over to their house and allowing us to capture some of the first memories of their precious baby boy. We had a wonderful time and hope you know how special of a family you are!!!

Baby Aiden

Our 2nd of three newborn shoots for the week-end was for Baby Aiden. Unlike Brayden who was awake the whole time, Aiden slept for most of the shoot. He happens to be our great-nephew (let's not talk about how old we are getting, ok?) and one of the most laid back infants ever. We got some of the sweetest photos of this little guy.

This is one of our favorites. Aiden has been a thumb sucker since birth, and oh is is precious!
Is there anything more peaceful than a sleeping newborn?

Baby Brayden

We had three newborn shoots last week-end! And they were all boys! The first baby we had the pleasure to photograph was Brayden. We got some amazing photos of this little guy. . .that is surprising only because he was awake the entire time!!! He was amazingly patient with us. His parents were also wonderful, and made parenting look so easy. They were game for anything. . .In fact, they let us try a new newborn "pose". ..a brave move considering we would be suspending their child above the ground! Take a look. . .

I love baby piggies! Look at how sweet they are!! And that ring! Don't ya just love the ring?!

Brayden was very alert for such a wee little guy. . .and VERY strong. He kept trying to crawl while we were taking his photos! Look at his head control! Isn't that amazing??

Welcome Baby "V"

Well, we did the maternity shoot about a month ago, and now baby "V" is HERE! He was such a good little trooper with all the positions we put him through! Once again we were lucky to work with the most amazing family. Mom and Dad (not to mention Grandma - HI BARB!) are wonderful people. Baby "V" is one lucky little boy!!

This is a photo that Baby "V's" mom suggested we take. I really liked her suggestion, and I like how the photo turned out!

Someone started to get sleepy during the photoshoot. . .wonder who that could be!?

Is this not the cutest outfit ever? It's a onesey with a tie imprinted on it! These are some serious clothes for such a wee little man! He has already proven himself ahead of the pack!

Little "E"

This little lad is going to be a heart-breaker when he grows up! Just look at that face! We had the most wonderful photoshoot with Little "E". He was a very good little boy, and we got some of the best photos of him. All of his pictures were taken at our local Botanical Gardens. . .a good thing considering that it was February!

Look at those eyelashes! Aren't the amazing?

E's parents were wonderful to work with. . .very relaxed and ready for anything. They were even ok when we suggested putting "E" on a window ledge about 6 feet off the ground! No worries though, Dad was close by in case there were any sudden movements!

Meet Khai

Look at this FACE!! We are very fortunate to have met this little guy. He and his family had a long, long journey to get to the point where they are now. . .a very happy FAMILY! Khai was adopted from Vietnam in December of 2007! His mama contacted us to do his adoption annoucements. Of course, we didn't hesitate one second. . .we had been following their adoption journey for quite some time, and couldn't wait to meet the newest member of their family!

Waiting for Baby "V"

Here are a couple of images from a maternity shoot that we did a couple of months ago. Matt and I had the best time! Mom was very easy going, and willing to do most anything. . .not an easy feat when you are 8 months pregnant!
This shoot was being done as a surprise for her hubby, so we are going to keep mom's identity a secret. We got some wonderful images, and can't wait to meet the new addition to this family!!

Ryland @ 9 months

So, ok, he isn't technically a "customer" seeing as how this handsome guy is family. . .this is Karen's nephew, Ryland. We just couldn't resist sharing this photo of him from when he was 9 months old! He looked so handsome in his little blue sweater, and proudly showed off his two new pearly teeth. Isn't he just precious??!
